He has more than two decades of experience teaching English education in Indonesia. He is passionate about the study of English education and has presented and published numerous papers at international conferences and indexed international journals.

Dr Bimali Indrarathne is a Lecturer in Applied Linguistics at the Kotelawala Defense University, Srilanka. Previously, she worked at University of York, King’s College London, and Lancaster University. She has a PhD in Applied Linguistics and an MA in TESOL, both from Lancaster University. She also has an MA in Linguistics from Kelaniya University and a BA from Peradeniya University. She holds both Cambridge DELTA and CELTA. Bimali’s main research interest is Second Language Acquisition. She’s currently running several teacher-education projects in South Asia on English language teaching materials designing, raising teacher awareness on the effects of learning difficulties in learning languages and teaching English at university contexts.
